At Dulwich Hill Gourmet Meats we put smiles on the faces of our customers by sharing our true passion for great food. Our pursuit of high-quality meats begins at the farm, where we build strong relationships with producers who share our values of ethical, sustainable and organic produce.

We are strong advocates for the dying art of nose-to-tail butchery, with skills passed down through four generations of artisan butchers. As well as our range of grass fed, organic and free range meats, we stock our own specialty handmade charcuterie and a selection of premium wholefood pantry items. Find us in the heart of Dulwich Hill at 483 Marrickville Rd.

The product we're most excited about in our dry-age room at the moment is this cured tuna pastrami. Of course, the fish is top-notch sashimi-grade Australian yellowfin tuna. The recipe is a tribute to our late 'Bappou Savvy' (Yiota's dad) and his traditional Cypriot pastrami or pastourma recipe from the village of Arakapas. Does anyone else love haloumi as much as we do? The delicious Cyprus cheese is now so popular you can get it almost anywhere. We source Australian-made haloumi from Sotiris, a Melbourne-based cheesemaker who produces small batches of haloumi from quality cow's milk using his family recipe. It's great on the BBQ, grilled or pan fried, but Cypriots also like to eat it fresh as a table cheese, or with watermelon (a match made in heaven). Pork crackling close up! This is Tallabung pastured pork from Forbes NSW. We usually let the pork speak for itself when roasting belly, but this was done with a marinade for something different. Just be sure to marinate the flesh side only, then place the belly in the fridge for a few hours, uncovered in a roasting tray with the skin side up, allowing the flavours to develop and the skin to dry out (essential for a crispy skin). Ingredients were miso paste, fresh ginger, rice wine vinegar, five spice, brown sugar, orange juice, soy sauce and salt flakes. #porkcrackling #tallabung #pasturedpork #closeup #getinmybelly
